Flipped Class: How Does it Feel to Be a Teacher?

Did you enjoy Halloween last night or are you going to celebrate it tonight?

We started the class making questions and answers in the past. As some of you have problems with question words, this is a link where you can practise.

Question Words

As it was “Halloween’s Week”, we started with a song a bit ‘spooky’, ‘scary’ or just (simply) weird?

The song is “Lullaby” by The Cure

We didn't have time to finish the comprehension questions, so we’ll do it next week, although Halloween is over.

Then we had a look at the things you had prepared for our “Flipped Class”. We had crosswords, templates related to Halloween, picture vocabulary and Player 2 prepared a song. But I’m afraid the song wasn’t very popular because our students were too young for Marilyn Mason. We played another one more suitable (appropriate) for their ages. Player 5 didn’t bring anything nor did she 

do homework. Remember that you have to enter the blog to check what’s for homework in case you can’t attend to class or you forget.

Anyway, going back to “Flipped Class”, I’d like you to write your opinions on the blog.

Did you like the experience? How did you feel being teachers? What would you change of the class you taught to kids?

Player 2 also gave us the idea of a ‘Halloween Let’s dance’ It was funny and kids enjoyed it!

Homework for next Wednesday is doing the exercises on the reading on the photocopy I gave you. The text is entitled “Who wrote ‘Imagine’?” I hope everybody does homework this week!

Remember that we are going to write a story on the blog. Every one of you has to write some paragraphs of the story and the following week, another student will continue it. You can also add pictures or images. At the end of the term we’ll read the stories to the rest of the classes. It’s really important you write the story on the blog!

The Forest of the Horrors

                            

Some years ago there was a forest in the USA called Moiytura, there was agirl called Gregoria, she was very beautiful. One night she went to the forest by bike. The bike had a light. She wasn’t scared but she saw something strange in  the forest.Now, she is very scared, she went to a house and…strange things started to happen there …

As for the points this week, you get points for homework and for performance in class.
