Wednesday 5^th November

Hello. How’s everybody?

I see you had a good weekend. And the boys must have had an exhausting weekend because they didn’t come to class!

The students that changed classes in “Flipped Class” said it was Ok. The students that were with me said they had enjoyed it.

Anyway, I want you to write your opinions on the blog. You have the instructions on the photocopy of how to become authors, if you can’t get it, you can post something in comments. Paula, you said that you think that “Javier R.” is your user’s name. If it is, you must use it to post something: opinions, the continuation of the story-when it is your turn – your homework, interesting links for videos, songs, exercises, listening etc. In English, of course.

What did we do in class?

We finished the lyrics from the song by The Cure. Congratulations player 2 because you took the time to search for (look for) the lyrics and complete the song.

We read about Yoko Ono and her help to her husband, John Lennon to write the song “Imagine”. We listened to the song and filled in the gaps.

        

     As it was 5^th November, we watched 
     a video on 
      Guy Fawkes story.

Then we talked about our end of term project. The most voted suggestion was “A reality show”. Discuss how you are going to do it and what it consists in. If you don’t, next week we’ll start writing the script for the miniseries that Almudena suggested.

Don’t forget to do homework!!! And start collaborating on the blog. I’m looking forward to seeing your suggestions, ideas, links…

Homework: finish exercise 3 about the song and make the questions for the answers given.

Also, watch the video about “Guy Fawkes Night” again. Find the meaning of these words and write one sentence with each one.
