Wednesday 11th March
Hi!
I hope Paula, Jorge and Rodrigo are studying
hard for their exams.
Because…if you study hard,
you’ll pass
the exams.
Although…if it rains this
weekend, you’ll
fail your exams! This is the conclusion we got at after doing a
follow-up exercise!
Yes. We worked on the first conditional.
If it doesn’t rain on Saturday, we’ll go for a walk.
We won’t
buy milk if there’s some in the cupboard.
You can begin with the “if”
clause or not. When you begin with “if”,
you need to use a comma.
We continued the class with an important piece of advice:
“Don’t lose your pen!” If you lose
your pen, you’ll die.
If you lose
your pen, you won’t
be able to take notes.
If you aren’t
able to take notes, you won’t pass your exams.
If you don’t
pass your exams, you won’t get a degree.
If you don’t
get a degree, you won’t find a job.
If you don’t
find a job, you won’t earn any money.
If you don’t
earn any money, you won’t be able to buy any food.
If you can’t
buy any food, you’ll die.
So, if
you lose your
pen, you’ll
die! Don’t lose your pen!!!

After that, we talked about your project.
What time? Before the break. 17.15 – 18.00 more or less.
Where? In the park across the bridge.
What games? Rodrigo and Jorge are going to organize a ‘football
game’. Find and teach vocabulary in English. The kids will have to say what
they’re doing. For example: ‘I’m running’, ‘I’m kicking the ball’ etc. Laura and Paula are
going to organize a ‘Sack race’ instead of sacks, they’re using rubbish bags.
Finally, Almudena
and Natalia will be in charge of ‘hopscotch’. We’ll
split the kids into three groups.
Awards will be ‘Certificates’ for the winners and some sweets for
everybody.
Find out the information (look for information) you need and download the
templates of the awards you’ll be giving to the winners because we must have
everything sorted
out (solved)
by next week.
There’s no extra homework. The homework consists of getting everything
ready for the project. You could make posters to let the other teachers know
about our ‘Outdoor Games’.
And to end with, in the last week of class
after the games and the break, we are having a ‘Flea market’. This is a market to
sell things we don’t want or things we have made. So, please, bring something
to sell (and some money to buy some stuff). You can make bracelets, cakes or
bring toys or books… whatever!
We’ll give away (donate) the money we get to a charity
Points for participation and speaking English in class
this afternoon.
