Wednesday 25th March
Hello girls!
I said girls because it seems that the boys have given
up (stopped) and they won’t be coming next term.
I guess (imagine) you are enjoying your
Easter holidays. By the way, what do you know about Easter in the UK? You can learn
something watching this video.
But, what did we do in our previous class?
We started revising the test we had done the week before. You should review the grammar points we have
studied during the course because you have forgotten some things.
After that, we reviewed zero and first conditional.
Remember the structure of the first conditional.
If it doesn’t rain on Saturday, we’ll go for a walk.
We won’t
buy milk if there’s some in the cupboard.
You can begin with the “if”
clause or not. When you begin with “if”,
you need to use a comma.
And this is an example of Zero
conditional.
If you
begin the sentence with “if”, you have to use a comma.
For homework, finish the slogans for the mobile phone, the DVD, the
bike, the diet chocolates and the private school. We’ll have a competition and will
discover which the best slogans are!
Also, make up
your minds (decide) about the outdoor games you are going to organize as part
of our Design for Change project.
·
What games are you going to organize? Find the vocabulary (in English, of course) that you
need to teach the kids.
·
What materials or toys do you need for this game?
·
Where
are you going to play these games?
·
Which kids
are going to play with you? The kids in the park, the ones at the academy?
·
Do you need anybody’s permission? (Parents’, teachers’ the permission of the director
of the academy?)
·
And
any other points you can think of.
Then, we talked about shopping and we decided on
the price of the items (things) we were going to sell in the market. Only Natalia brought something to sell.
I’m afraid you are not very good tradespeople (sellers),
because you didn’t sell
anything!
Remember how we say
and write the prices in English.

And to finish with, I’d like to congratulate Almudena on winning our
games this term, for the second time this year! Congratulations, Almudena.
Have fun and
enjoy your Easter holidays! See you on Wednesday 8th April!!!
